Hashemite University professor wins Int’l science award

AMMAN — Zeinab Wahsh, associate professor at the Hashemite University’s nursing faculty, has won the International Women’s Achievers Award in health and medical sciences for 2018 for her contributions to the prevention of hospital infection, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Monday.
Venus International Foundation of India grants this award to successful women in their professions, namely those related to health and medical sciences, who contribute to science and technology, and who possess distinguished records.
The Hashemite University President Kamal Bani Hani congratulated Wahsh, who was chosen among 18 women from around the world. The first Jordanian academic to win this award, Wahsh has a PhD from the University of Alabama in Birmingham, the US.
