AMMAN — A collection of handicraft products of women artisans from the local community of Um Al Jimal will be launched on Monday at the Jordan Museum.
The collection is the result of the programme “Empowering Rural Women in Mafraq Governorate”, developed by UNESCO and UN Women in collaboration with field expert Nadia Dajani.
The programme trains the women of Um Al Jimal on basalt stone carving, product design and development, quality control and basic business management skills.
