AMMAN — Public Works and Housing Minister Sami Halaseh on Saturday checked on a project to rehabilitate the old justice palace building to be reused by the Cassation Court, a ministry statement said. Halaseh said the project aims at conserving the 60-year-old building and to save on rent. During the visit, the minster was briefed on the project’s progress, which is scheduled to be finished in August.
Also on Saturday, Halaseh visited the detour that was opened on the Amman-Irbid highway due to a major landslide in the Zarqa River area in January. The minister, accompanied by security officers, contractors and technicians, checked on the detour and discussed implementing the road’s reconstruction with minimum effects on traffic flow.
