Halasa participates in Jerusalem Easter celebrations

AMMAN — Minister of Public Works and Housing Sami Halasa has participated in the Easter celebrations at the Holy Sepulcher Church in Jerusalem upon the invitation of the Greek Orthodox Patriarch, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Saturday.

Halasa said that his participation in these celebrations reflects the Hashemite guardianship of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, and the strong and historical relationship between Jordanians and Palestinians.

For his part, the Greek Orthodox Patriarch praised the Hashemite guardianship of the Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, and its continuous support and protection, voicing appreciation for His Majesty King Abdullah in restoring the Holy Sepulcher in the church at his own expense.
