Gov’t urged to exert greater effort for release of Labadi, Meri

AMMAN — Civil society institutions and the families of administrative Jordanian detainees in Israel, Hiba Labadi and Abdulrahman Meri, have called on the government to continue pressuring Israel for their release.

These demands came in a joint statement by a number of civil society institutions, youth movements, activists and political parties, as well as the families of Labadi and Meri.

The statement urged the government to intensify its efforts to ensure the release of the two citizens and all other Jordanians currently held in Israel.
