AMMAN — The Labour Ministry on Thursday signed two agreements with Mubadarah construction contractors company, the Strong Shield Equipment and Specialised Services (SSESSCO) and Umm Al Jimal and Umm Al Rassas municipalities to implement satellite plants in Umm Al Jimal, Umm Al Rassas and Theeban.
Labour Minister Samir Murad said that the agreements are part of the ministry’s efforts to create new jobs for residents of these areas and increase the investment volume in governorates and remote areas, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The first agreement — signed between the Employment-Technical and Vocational Education and Training Fund (E-TVET), Mubadarah and Umm Al Jimal Municipality — covers 50 per cent of the salaries of 400 trainers for 12 months and the JD25 Social Security Corporation subscriptions per trainer.
The second deal — signed between E-TVET, Umm Al Rassas and SSESSCO covers training 120 workers for 12 months.
