AMMAN — The Cabinet on Wednesday decided to reduce work permit fees of non-Jordanian workers by approving amendments to the 2021 bylaw of work permits for non-Jordanians. The move aims to alleviate burdens shouldered by employers, which will be reflected on production costs in all economic sectors.
The Council of Ministers also agreed on including development zones in its previous decision pertaining to discounts on fees, revenues and compensations. Under the decision, the discount period of 25 per cent for municipalities and the Greater Amman Municipality, upon paying cash, will be extended until December 31, 2021, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The Cabinet also endorsed the administrative organisation bylaw of the Justice Ministry for 2021, with the aim of developing work mechanisms in the ministry, increasing the efficiency of administrative operations and speeding up decision making.
