Gov’t exempts UNRWA from paying school textbook costs

AMMAN — The Cabinet on Monday approved exempting UNRWA from school textbook costs for the academic year 2017/2018, and covering the exemption’s value from the Ministry of Education’s budget, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Also on Monday, the Cabinet approved the disbursement of a lump sum, at a total cost of JD3 million, dedicated for winter aid to all households benefitting from the National Aid Fund, during the current month of December.

The aid, to be disbursed only once in December, will range from JD25 to JD45, according to specific criteria.
