AMMAN — Omar Mashagbeh, director general of the National Aid Fund (NAF), on Wednesday said that the government had allocated JD500 million for underprivileged families, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He said that the money will be delivered through direct cash payments over the next three years, adding that the government will begin its “biggest” supplementary support programme for community aid at the beginning of 2019.
The $200 million programme will cover the next three years, Mashagbeh said, noting that the government is working at full capacity on the preparations and will announce all the details before the end of 2018.
