- Gov’t to shield consumers from oil price spike with gradual adjustments
- Aqaba port draws international interest as Jordan maintains supply stability
AMMAN — Minister of Government Communication and Government Spokesperson Mohammad Momani had said that Prime Minister Jafar Hassan is monitoring the performance and readiness of ministries through daily reports.
Momani was quoted on Friday by Al Mamlaka as saying that rising global oil prices would not be immediately passed on to domestic fuel prices, adding that the government would introduce any adjustments gradually to preserve price stability.
He also said that supply chains remain normal, with several international companies and countries contacting the government to use the Port of Aqaba to support supply and provisioning operations.
