AMMAN — German Ambassador to Jordan Ralph Tarraf on Tuesday inaugurated a new library and playroom at the CARE Centre in Amman, a facility whose implementation has been supported by the German government.

The facility has been built especially for refugee children hit worst by the Syrian crisis, according to a German embassy statement released Wednesday.

“Children are the most vulnerable in a crisis… and need protection and a continuation of a normal life,” the statement quoted Tarraf as saying.

The new library is equipped with over 900 books purchased with assistance of the Jubilee School.

The playroom is equipped through the engagement of the Heinrich-Heine-Gymnasium in Munich, whose students collected donations and came to Jordan to hand over the new playroom, jointly with the Goethe Institute.
