Gendarmerie director hosts UAE ambassador, military attache

AMMAN — Director General of the Gendarmerie Directorate Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh on Thursday received Emirati Ambassador to the Kingdom Ahmad Balushi, accompanied by Emirati Military Attaché Col. Mubarak Mansouri.

Talks went over a number of topics including ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the Gendarmerie and Emirati military and security forces, especially in the fields of training and the exchange of expertise.

For his part, Balushi commended the Gendarmerie’s reputation both regionally and internationally, and reiterated the importance of strengthening relations between the Gendarmerie and Emirati security and military authorities, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
