GAM to celebrate ‘Our Mother Amman’ on Friday

AMMAN — President of the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) committee Yousef Shawarbeh will preside over the “Our Mother Amman” events at the Roman and the Odeon theatres in Amman on Friday, which will mark the anniversary of the Karamah Battle and celebrate Mother’s Day, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The events will include music performances from the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) and a documentary about the Karamah Battle.

GAM urged citizens to look up the programme of the free-of-charge events on their website (www.amman.jo), noting that the functions will take place in several theatres owned by the municipality, as well as in gardens, libraries, and in the Hashemite Square and Wakalat Street.
