Under the agreements, 136 diesel buses will be bought through a loan of JD10.7 million and a grant of 8 million euros, while 15 electric buses will be bought through a loan of 5.6 million euros, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
GAM Mayor Yousef Shawarbeh, who signed the agreements with EBRD Regional Director for Infrastructure Sue Barrett, said that the municipality is keen on enhancing the public transportation system in the capital, adding that the new buses are environment-friendly and have high-standard services.
