GAM approves licensing instructions for food truck projects

AMMAN — The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) on Tuesday approved the licensing instructions for the food truck project within the boundaries of the municipality, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Mayor Yousef Shawarbeh chaired the meeting on the project and was briefed on the terms and conditions for the issuance of the licence for stores, vehicles, workers and working-hours regulation, in addition to selling snacks, hot and cold beverages, sweets and ice cream.

Shawarbeh affirmed that the project aims to enable Jordanian youth and create new job opportunities, adding that the GAM will announce the respective tender through various media outlets.

He added that international companies will also be allowed to apply for the tender, to raise the level of competitiveness in this sector, provided that they do not obtain more than two licences.
