AMMAN — The Hayat Educational Fund on Saturday announced that it will offer a full university scholarship to student Saleh Hamdan, who was the victim of a revenge attack in Zarqa in October 2020, where a group of people gouged his eyes and chopped off his hands.
Hamdan passed the General Secondary Education Certificate Examination (Tawjihi) with an average of 85 per cent. Chairman of the fund’s board of directors Mousa Saket said that the grant comes within the framework of the fund’s work and its mission to support underprivileged students in pursuing an education, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The fund, established in 2009, provides university scholarships for academically excelling students from low-income families according to certain criteria.
