Freihat, AUASS president hold discussions on cooperation, future plans

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat on Wednesday met with Hamid Al Naimiy, founder and president of the Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences (AUASS).
During the meeting, Freihat and Naimiy discussed ways to cooperate to improve human resources, and the exchange of expertise in the field of space and astronomy research, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
They also discussed the establishment of an astronomical observatory that would cover the Arab region and be connected to the global network.
