France commends level of Arab Army

AMMAN — France on Monday commended the “advanced level” of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army.
At a meeting with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Gen. Mashal Al Zaben, French Army Chief-of-Staff Gen. Pierre de Villiers lauded French-Jordanian military coordination.
Discussions at the meeting, also attended by HRH Prince Feisal, covered further military cooperation.
At the end of the visit, the French general awarded Zaben, who is also His Majesty King Abdullah’s adviser on military affairs, the French medal of Chevalier Légion d’honneur, presented by the French president.
The medal was given to Zaben in recognition of his commitment and to symbolise the values shared by the two armies.
