Four arrested in suspected fraud involving JD1.5m

AMMAN — Criminal Investigation Department personnel have arrested four people accused of fraudulently obtaining JD1,467,000, a statement from the Public Security Department said on Thursday.
The prime suspect, who was arrested first, confessed to using fake documents to commit several frauds with the help of the other three suspects, such as buying a house worth JD600,000 with a bad foreign cheque. The four suspects were referred to the judiciary.
