Former head of Arabic academy receives medal

AMMAN (Petra) — His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday bestowed the Kawkab Medal of the First Order on Abdel Karim Khalifa, a professor of Arabic literature, in appreciation of his distinguished academic achievements. The medal is also in appreciation of his service to Arabic during his presidency of the Jordan Academy of Arabic.
