Foreign Ministry monitors investigation into Jordanian’s death in Russia

AMMAN — The Foreign Ministry's Directorate of Operations and Consular Affairs is monitoring the killing of a Jordanian citizen in the Russian city of Volgograd earlier Saturday.

The relevant security authorities in Russia have arrested the perpetrators of the crime, Director of the Directorate of Operations and Consular Affairs Sufyan Qudah said, adding that the Jordanian Embassy in Moscow is actively cooperating with the Russian authorities to investigate the details of the incident.

Qudah noted that the Jordanian Embassy in Moscow has initiated the necessary official procedures to repatriate the body of the deceased to Jordan.

The process will be coordinated with the family of the deceased and the body will be repatriated after the completion of the investigations, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

He also expressed his condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased.
