FM, Singaporean counterpart discuss Gaza crisis

AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi received a telephone call on Wednesday from Singaporean Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan.

The ministers underscored the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the importance of safeguarding civilians and ensuring the consistent delivery of adequate humanitarian aid across the Gaza Strip, as reported by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

They also discussed bilateral relations between Jordan and Singapore and expressed their mutual commitment to strengthening these ties, particularly in the wake of HRH Crown Prince Hussein’s visit to Singapore in January.

Safadi voiced his concerns about the ongoing aggression in Gaza, especially as Ramadan approaches, which could potentially trigger new waves of violence.
