FM meets with head of Syrian opposition delegation

AMMAN — Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi on Wednesday discussed with Nasr Hariri, head of the Syrian opposition delegation, developments in the Syrian crisis, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Safadi stressed the need for reaching a political solution on the basis of Geneva talks and the Security Council's Resolution 2254, stressing that such a solution should be accepted by the Syrian people and should preserve the Syrian territorial integrity and sovereignty.

For his part, Hariri briefed Safadi on the opposition's efforts and its engagement with the international community recently to reach a political solution to the Syrian crisis.
