Five South Americans arrested for alleged JD30, 000 theft

AMMAN — Criminal Investigation Department (CID) personnel have arrested five South American nationals for allegedly stealing JD30, 000 from a vehicle, a statement from the Public Security Department (PSD) said on Thursday.

The suspects, who confessed to planning and committing the theft, were arrested in Aqaba. A CID search found $42, 000 and 6, 000 euros in the suspects’ possession. The PSD called on residents to be vigilant while carrying large amounts of money.
