Five detained in connection with Amman house burglaries

AMMAN — Criminal Investigation Department (CID) agents have arrested five out of six suspects allegedly involved in house thefts, the Public Security Department (PSD) said Sunday.

While investigating a number of similar burglaries reported in Amman homes, CID agents arrested a suspect, and later discovered he had five accomplices who reportedly helped him steal home appliances, money and jewellery, according to the PSD.

The stolen items were found and returned to their owners, and a search is under way for the sixth accomplice.
