Fires in Jerash, Tafileh extinguished

AMMAN/ TAFILEH — Civil Defence Department firefighters and Agriculture Ministry staff on Monday extinguished a blaze that spread over 40 dunums of land in Jerash’s Dibeen forest, the CDD said.

Also on Monday, CDD personnel contained two fires in Tafileh’s Arweem and Arafah regions and prevented the flames from reaching nearby farms. The CDD called on the public to remove dry grass from cultivated land especially when temperatures soar.
