AMMAN — The higher steering committee of the Fils Al Reef, a fee added to each kilowatt a household uses, on Wednesday approved a list of 479 houses and sites to benefit from the delivery of electricity through the regular networks at a total cost of JD1.5 million.
Minister of Energy and committee head Saleh Kharabsheh said that a number of projects will be served at the expense of Fils Al reef, including well-populated areas and sites of economic activity, noting that the subsidy covers productive industrial and investment projects in poverty pockets and unincorporated areas, as well as five houses in rural areas, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The subsidy will also cover communities in unincorporated areas that consist of at least three houses, as well as the houses of underprivileged families and a number of farms and street lights, the minister added.
