Fayez, Senate committee heads review Royal Discussion Papers

AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Fayez on Tuesday held a meeting with heads of the Upper House’s permanent committees, who are tasked with studying the Royal Discussion Papers of His Majesty King Abdullah.

The meeting was aimed at finding mechanisms to implement the Discussion Papers and to determine each committee’s role, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The senators then discussed the results of the committee’s work and issued recommendations regarding the implementation of the papers.

Fayez described the Senate as “the first national institution that adopts discussing the Royal papers”, calling on other national institutions to study the discussion papers. “These papers are the roadmap to achieve Jordan’s sought future in different aspects particularly the political, social and economic aspects,” Fayez said.
