Fayez, Mamkegh discuss utilising culture to promote tourism

AMMAN — Tourism Minister Nayef Al Fayez and Culture Minister Lana Mamkegh discussed on Thursday ways to use culture to promote tourism in the Kingdom, benefiting from cultural associations.

Fayez highlighted the importance of mixing tourism and culture calling for organising cultural weeks to promote tourism products.

He also stressed the importance of cultural activities like the annual Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts.

Mamkegh agreed with Fayez and said the Culture Ministry is ready to adopt a joint work plan with the Tourism Ministry to hold such activities at archaeological and tourist sites.
