Fayez, Greek ambassador discuss ties

AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Fayez on Wednesday met Greek ambassador to Jordan Eleftheria Galathianaki and discussed the current situation in the region and means of advancing bilateral relations in various fields.

Fayez attached importance to enhancing economic partnerships between the two countries, notably increasing trade and activating signed agreements.

Talks also went over the repercussions of the current regional situation, notably those in connection with the Palestinian cause and the Israeli aggressions against the Palestinians, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Fayez also called on the European Union to play "a greater role" towards the peace process and place pressure on the Israel to abide by the international legitimacy resolutions related to the Palestinian cause.
