Fayez calls for effective Arab-International position to support Palestinians

AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Fayez on Thursday emphasised the necessity of an effective Arab-International position to support the Palestinians and enhance His Majesty King Abdullah’s efforts towards upholding the Palestinian cause and Jerusalem.

During a Senate session, Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Bisher Al Khasawneh acquainted the senators on the Kingdom’s efforts and political and diplomatic contacts to defend Palestinian rights and stop the Israeli aggression.

Khasawneh stressed the importance of “opening a political horizon” to reinstate the Palestinian rights and enhance support for the Palestinian cause, at the same time protecting Jordan’s interests, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The senators, during the session, reviewed Israeli violations against the Palestinians, reiterating the persistence of Jordan's position towards ending the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in accordance with the two-state solution.
