Faraya meets with AIMC secretary general over security cooperation

AMMAN — Interior Minister Mazen Faraya on Thursday met with the Secretary General of the Arab Interior Ministers Council (AIMC), Muhammad Koman, over enhancing joint Arab security cooperation.

The meeting covered the agenda of the AIMC’s 40th session, to be held in Tunisia next March. The session will examine terrorism, drugs, electronic crime and cybersecurity, and other security-related issues.

Commending the council's efforts towards security cooperation and achievements related to combating crime, Faraya expressed Jordan's commitment to implementing the AIMC’s decisions and recommendations, expressing his keenness to support the general secretariat of the council.

Koman lauded Jordan's active role in supporting and developing the council's work mechanisms, and invited Jordan to take part in the 40th session, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
