FAO to form advisory committee of agricultural experts

AMMAN — The Food and Agriculture Organisation of the UN (FAO) in Jordan has announced that it will form an advisory committee of agricultural experts as part of the ongoing cooperation between the organisation and the Agriculture Ministry, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported Thursday.
The organisation will play a key role in providing consultation on food security and in achieving the goals of sustainable development 2030 in Jordan. The group consists of experts in agriculture, natural resource management and food security, and their role is to provide guidance to the ministry and discuss the future vision of agriculture and food security in the Kingdom. The group will present constructive inputs on the agricultural sector and food security, in collaboration with governmental and non-governmental institutions.
