Family Protection Department branch opens in Tafileh

AMMAN — Deputising for Public Security Department (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Atef Saudi, PSD Assistant Director Brig. Gen. Walid Battah on Tuesday inaugurated a Family Protection Department branch in Tafileh, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Olfa Alouini, head of the trade and economic section of the EU delegation to Jordan, Maha Homsi, chief of child protection at UNICEF, and various strategic partners in the field of child protection, according to Petra.

Battah said that due to the spread of crimes related to children and family, a need arose to open branches in all governorates. He also thanked UNICEF for its support in rehabilitating and training cadres at the branch as well as providing it with technical and digital tools.
