AMMAN — Planning and International Cooperation Minister Imad Fakhoury on Monday stressed the importance of following a joint approach in regulating aid and reducing the time needed to approve projects under the 2015 Jordan Response Plan to the Syrian crisis.
Chairing a meeting of the guiding committee of the UN joint programme to support the JRP, Fakhoury said this can be achieved through creating an electronic system. He also reiterated the sustainability of this approach.
UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Jordan Edward Kallon praised the Kingdom’s role in hosting Syrian refugees and presenting them with necessary support, and commended the Planning and International Cooperation Ministry’s performance in preparing the JRP.
