European Commission acknowledges Jordan efforts in anti-money laundering, combating financing of terrorism

AMMAN — The European Commission on Tuesday removed Jordan from the EU list of high-risk countries. In a tweet on the social media platform X, the commission’s mission in Amman, emphasised the recognition of Jordan’s efforts towards anti-money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. The commission also highlighted the critical role of financial system protection for both development and stability, and commended Jordan’s commitment in this area.
