EU election monitors commend Independent Election Commission

AMMAN — Independent Election Commission (IEC) President Khaled Kalaldeh on Monday met with a delegation of European Court auditors in order to evaluate the performance of the EU’s Union Election Observation delegations, according to an IEC statement.

Kalaldeh stressed the importance of regulatory missions in general, and the European mission in particular, in election monitoring, which boosts the confidence of citizens in elections. The delegation commended the commission’s efforts in running the elections, expressing its full readiness to communicate and cooperate with the IEC in the next elections.
