AMMAN — Ethmar for Islamic Microfinance has signed a partnership agreement with Luminus Technical University College (LTUC), established in 1980, which provides a diploma and a professional bachelor’s degree to young people within new professional disciplines to meet the needs of the labour market, according to a statement from Ethmar.
The agreement aims at empowering low-income students and children of small entrepreneurs, the statement said. Ethmar was founded by the King Hussein Foundation in 2015.
It is "the first" Sharia-compliant Islamic microfinance institution to fight poverty and unemployment and to provide financial solutions to those with low income, according to the statement.
