AMMAN — Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan Haider Al Athari on Thursday lauded Irbid Governor Radwan Utoum’s quick response to the envoy’s callto help more than 70 Iraqi students in Irbid who ran out of money and food due to the nationwide curfew.

The diplomat posted on his official Facebook page that the Iraqi students in Irbid, who are studying at Jordanian universities, are in “good condition” after the governor offered them cash and in-kind support, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Utoum, for his part, said that authorities in the northern city are paying attention to non-Jordanians, stressing that “their needs are met on an ongoing basis”.
