Environmentalists hold conference on ‘green Jordan’

AMMAN — HRH Prince Raad, the Chief Chamberlain, on Thursday attended the first environmental conference “Towards a green Jordan, the green cover: problems and solutions”.
Inaugurating the conference, organised by the American Digital School in Amman, Prince Raad said that such initiatives are valued since they are in line with His Majesty the late King Hussein’s vision of a green Jordan.
The event discussed medical herbs, desertification, logging, forest fires, natural chemical fertilisers, water pollution and other issues.
The Environment Ministry, Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature and Rangers participated in the event, in addition to other stakeholders.
