Environment minister, UNDP officials talk climate cooperation

AMMAN — Environment Minister Nabil Masarweh met with UN Assistant Secretary General and Director of the Regional Bureau for Arab States at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Khalida Bouzar and UNDP Resident Representative Sara Ferrer Olivella over means of enhancing cooperation.

Bouzar praised Jordan’s expertise in development plans, mainly those concerning the environment, and its commitments to the Paris Agreement and green growth.

Masarweh reviewed the Kingdom’s preparations to participate in the UN Climate Change Conference, which will feature the 26th session of the Conference of the Parties and be hosted in Glasgow, UK, in November, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
