AMMAN — Minister of Environment Nabil Masarweh on Tuesday met with Cypriot Ambassador to Jordan Michalis Ioannou, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Masarweh and Ioannou discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the fields of environmental awareness, national plans and environmental legislation, by appointing liaison officers in both countries to exchange expertise and information about investment opportunities in the field of environmental protection.
During the meeting, Masarweh said that the relations between the two countries “stem from the great understanding of various challenges and topics of common interest”, pointing to the continuation of the multifaceted cooperation in the future, according to Petra.
