Environment and Climate Week kicks off

AMMAN — Environment Minister Muawieh Radaideh on Sunday launched the Environment and Climate Week at the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature’s Ajloun Reserve. 

The Environment and Climate Week will run through October 12. Several ambassadors and representatives of local and international companies and organisations attended the event, reflecting Jordan’s commitment to international agreements that enhance joint action in facing climate change, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. 

Radaideh stressed the importance of intensifying international efforts and cooperation to deal with climate change challenges, mainly by awareness-raising programmes, urging all to exercise best practices to alleviate the devastating effects of global warming.
