Energy minister meets with counterparts as Dead Sea conference concludes

AMMAN — Energy Minister Hala Zawati on Thursday met with Arab energy ministers during the sixth Arab Union of Electricity Conference and highlighted the importance of connecting Arab electrical systems to enhance trade and realise Arab energy integration.
The two-day conference, held in the Dead Sea area, which concluded on Thursday, addressed issues and developments in the sector, as well as means to enhance joint Arab cooperation, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The minister said that electric connection is a need to contribute to alleviating investment burdens resulting from developing power grids and generators. She also expressed the Kingdom’s readiness to share its expertise in the renewable energy sector, which constitutes a successful economic and environmental solution.
