AMMAN — The Jordan Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Fund on Thursday signed agreements with 20 charity associations in Irbid to install solar heating systems for citizens through these charities.
The agreements give financial incentives to households wishing to install solar power systems, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Fund Director Rasmi Hamzeh said the organisation seeks to install 200,000 solar heaters and 100,000 photovoltaic systems for households across the Kingdom by 2020, in addition to installing 1 million power-saving light bulbs on streets by the same year through electricity distribution companies.
