The ERC said in a statement carried by Petra that a delegation headed to Amman to follow up on the procedures to finalise the debt payment and expedite the dropping of warrant orders against the women.
ERC Secretary General Mohammed Al Falahi was quoted in the statement as saying that the move came upon the directives of HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, ERC chairman, as part of the endeavour to increase humanitarian initiatives during the Year of Zayed.
Al Falahi added that concerned agencies in the Kingdom welcomed the initiatives and expressed readiness to cooperate in finalising all the necessary procedures, according to Petra.
