AMMAN — Campaigning for the parliamentary elections will end at 7am on Monday, a day before voters head to the polls to choose their candidates for the next Lower House, the Independent Election Commission (IEC) reminded candidates on Saturday.
IEC Spokesperson Jihad Momani urged all candidates and campaign managers to stop all signs, declarations and publications in the audiovisual and print media on Monday.
He also called for refraining from any direct or indirect propaganda at polling stations and vote-counting centres, cautioning that any such violations on election day would be subject to “legal accountability”.
