Eager Lion drill preparations commence, exercise to be held in May 2024

AMMAN — The initial planning session for the Eager Lion Drill 2024 conference commenced in Amman on Sunday. 

The opening ceremony was attended by Brig Gen. Hassan Khaldi, director of military training, accompanied by a number of JAF officers, and officers from participating countries. 

In his welcoming remarks, Khaldi said: "The Eager Lion drill is an extraordinary opportunity for all of us to strengthen ties, exchange knowledge and expertise among our countries’ armed forces, and stand united in our commitment to support the regional and international security and ability to response."

Khaldi urged all participants to adopt creative and constructive thinking and flexible planning to achieve the desired goals and deliver a successful drill. 

The five-day conference focuses on discussing the size and branches of participating forces, unifying their operational terminology, identifying training grounds and required logistical support and drafting the main planning conference agenda. 

Eager Lion 2024 will take place in Jordan on May 12-23, 2024.
