DPA, UNRWA directors visit Al Wihdat Camp

AMMAN — Director-General of the Department of Palestinian Affairs (DPA) Rafiq Khirfan and Director of UNRWA Affairs Olaf Becker on Thursday checked on the needs of the residents of the Al Wihdat Camp for Palestinian refugees and their most pressing challenges.

During a visit to the camp, Khirfan and Becker met with dignitaries of the camp and representatives of civil society organisations. The visit is part of a series of meetings by the DPA to improve the living conditions of camp residents, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Khirfan and Becker reviewed aspects of work mechanisms of and services provided by the DPA and UNRWA, discussing the department’s service platform meant to facilitate procedures for camp residents.

At the end of the visit, Khirfan and Becker honoured UNRWA employees whose services have exceeded 25 years.
