Direct flights to link Amman, Baku

AMMAN — Direct flights will be operated between Amman and Baku, Azerbaijan, by the end of next May, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Sunday.
The announcement was made during a meeting between Jordanian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Sami Ghousheh and President of CJSC Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) Jahangir Askerov on Sunday.
The two sides highlighted the role of the direct airlines in enhancing the two countries’ ties, mainly in the fields of economy and tourism. Low-cost carrier Buta Airways, a subsidiary of AZAL, will operate two flights weekly, according to Petra.
